The new league set up saw only 5 teams in the league as the game for this season was to be 11 a side. The teams that were able to enter a team were as follows:
Kelso, Eyemouth, Gala Fairydean, Lauder and Leithen Vale
11 Sep 05 - Eyemouth 4 - Kelso 2
Eyemouth were a very tough team to play against as usual and they went into an easy lead at 3 - 0, although Kelso were able to claw back 2 goals from Ryan Morrison and Ryan Beveridge, with Eyemouth getting another goal to make the final score 4 - 2.
18 Sep 05 - Gala Fairydean 3 - Kelso 1
Kelso's goal came from Ryan Beveridge. We found that Gala Fairydean had boys from the old Clovenfords team, which made them a very strong team and Kelso done well to hold them to 3 goals to 1. A very good determined team performance by all the Kelso boys.
25 Sep 05 - Kelso 4 - Lauder 3
This game was another battle with both teams determined to win. Goals by Ryan Beveridge and a hat trick from Ryan Morrison with one of them being a perfect 30 yard free kick in to the top right hand corner of the net. Lauder left very disappointed after loosing this game.
09 Oct 05 - Leithen Vale 6 - Kelso 2
In truth this game was a bit of a disaster. Keiran Flannigan was replaced in goals by Reece Burton during the game and this change seemed to disrupt the whole team and from that point on the team did not play well at all. The final score was 6 - 2 with Shane Bonnington scoring the 2 consolation goals. It should also be said at this point that Ryan Morrison is missed in the team as he is sidelined for the remainder of the season.
30 Oct 05 - Lauder 7 - Kelso 0
Another disaster for the Kelso boys who were not looking or shouting for each other, and Lauder had it all together resulting in an embarrassing hammering for us.
13 Nov 05 - Kelso 2 - Leithen Vale 3
The Kelso boys were back to their best with a new Goalkeeper Owen Noon giving everyone confidence. The score was tied at 2 - 2 with 3 minutes to go when Leithen Vale got a lucky deflection making the final score 2 - 3 to the visiting team. This was a great game with all the boys getting stuck in and working hard for each other. Kelso's goals came from Shaun Jardine and Ryan Beveridge.

Borders Trials
At the beginning of September Ryan Morrison, Ryan Beveridge, Shaun Jardine, Shane Bonnington, James Grey and Kieran Flannigan were selected for trials to play for the Borders. All the boys were asked back for a second look a week later. All the boys gave their all and played well although only one got through. Congratulations to Shaun Jardine on being selected for the Borders Team, who he has now played a couple of games for.
Summer Fixtures
Kelso Under 11's
We are currently in a pre summer fixtures which
are all friendlies no league positions.
1st game was Sun 28th March against Lauder at home and sadly we
got beat 3-0 but it could have been worse if not for Kieran Flannigan
in goals. There was a scout from Hibs watching the match and he
he was very impressed with Kieran.
2nd game 4th April Duns away we were trailing 4-1
but with a few changes to the team we were able to pull the game
back to 5-4 Shane Bonnington 2 goals/ Arron 1/ Ryan Beveridge 1/
Ryan Morrison 1.
3rd game 11th April Kelso v Eyemouth got beat 6-0 say no more. Except
very disappointing!
4th game Ancrum away it was great for the boys as they had never
been in this situation before we won 9-1 Arron 2 goals/Shaun Jardine
2/ Ryan Morrision 2/ Ryan Beveridge 2/ Shane Bonnington 1
5th game 2nd May Ancrum at home another win 5-0
Shane Bonnington 2 goals/ Ryan Beveridge 1/ Ryan Morrision 1/ Arron

Kelso Under 11's Winter League
The winter league positions were:
Eyemouth 30 points
Duns 20 points
Kelso 11 points
Coldstream 10 points
Tweedmouth 9 points
Berwick rangers 7 points
The coaches are very proud of all that took part for Kelso. Well
Done.
Final Game Played against Duns
The Final game of the league was at home to Duns
and it was 4-3 to us until a minute to go when we gave away a blatant
handball in the box. Duns slotted away the penalty so the final
score ended up 4-4. The goal scorers were Ryan Morrison, Shaun Jardine
and Liam Hill got 2 which should see Kelso make 3rd in the league
not bad considering our goal keeping difficulties and it being Michael
Bonnington's 1st season coaching.
Report on Games Against Coldstream 25 January
& 8 February 2004
The first game at Coldstream took place on Sunday
25 January, with a full strength team present. The game was a very
even affair with Coldstream scoring first, and from then on it was
nip and tuck with each team scoring after the other, until the score
was 4 - 4 and that was the final score. The Coldstream team were
very good in defense with a girl playing there who shone out amongst
her male rivals. Maybe the Kelso team should recruit some new blood.
The Kelso scorers this day were, Ryan Morrison (2) and Shane Bonnington
(2).
The second game took place at Kelso on 8 February
again with a full strength team playing. The result being very different
to the first game with the score finishing at 6 - 2 to Coldstream.
This was a very disheartening result as this was Coldstream's first
win for 2 years. Kelso would like however to congratulate Coldstream
on their achievement although we hope it is not against us the next
time they win. The scorers in this game were again Ryan Morrison
and Shane Bonnington with 1 each.
New Sponsor for Strips
Kelso Under 11's now have a new Sponsor of their
Football Strips in the form on Carpet Shop of Kelso (See below Fred
Smail being presented with a thank you present from 2 of the boys
from the team, they are Shane Bonnington and Ryan Morrison). Kelso
under 11's would like to thank Carpet Shop of Kelso and Fred Smail
for the kind sponsorship and the strips given to the team.

Duns v Kelso
Kelso played a very dismal game against Duns on
Sunday, we lost 4-1 the team finally woke up with Shane Bonnington
scoring a consolation goal with 10mins to go. The boys couldn't
get it together so the coach was not a happy chappy. The goalie
decided again he didn't want to go in goals so had to change over
at half time.

Kelso v Eyemouth
This was the crunch match as both Eyemouth and ourselves
were sharing the top spot. It was a very close game considering
our goalie pulled out at the very last minute and we had to get
a stand in (Shaun Johnstone) who has never been in goals before,
he done a marvelous job just letting in two goals. The final score
being Kelso 0 Eyemouth 2. Well done boys for a great game and a
close run thing.
Tweedmouth v Kelso
Another good game, the boys played very well to
win away from home at Tweedmouth in Berwick the final score being
2-7, the second goal was a penalty with the shot at the goalie being
rebounded into the air and amazingly caught in the arms of a defender.
The goal scorers for Kelso were James Gray with
1 goal and Ryan Morrison & Shane Bonnington getting a hatrick
each. When the team left Berwick they got a wee bit lost and took
a few wrong turns which took them to a place called McDonalds so
with the long journey ahead to Kelso they had to stop for some refreshments.
The First Game Report
The First game against Berwick Rangers went well
with Kelso winning 6 - 2. The lead up to the game was not so good
though as our first choice goalie Kieran Flannigan called off sick
so he was replaced by Frazer Neil. So with the team selected off
we went to Berwick and Prior Park. If it wasn't bad enough that
we were without our goalkeeper the replacement Frazer Neil got his
hand stood on by accident before the game, however he was very brave
and played on and thankfully did not have too much to do during
the match. The games are two 20 minute halves, and this game was
a good start to the league. The boys passed the ball well and went
forward with Shaun Jardine and Shane Bonnington both scoring hatricks,
giving the Kelso lads a well deserved win for the opening league
match. Hopefully the remainder of the season will go as good.
